If you are using well-reputed TV brands like Vizio, Insignia, Sony, Samsung, LG, etc, you can use a straightforward method, called the One-digit code method, otherwise, you should rely on other auto-code search or 4-digit universal code methods.

No need to worry if you are using a different TV brand, as they typically provide a code library where you can choose the universal code specific to your TV. Surely, I’ll list out all those codes here.

Instructions to program Optimum remote to your TV

One-digit simple methods are going to discuss here in this section. I hope you are using the Optimum Black IR (Altice One) remote control.

If using any other models including voice or stream controllers, this tutorial will help you.

Anyway, note down the one-digit code for your TV brand from the below table. It’s enough if you are using any one of the following TV brands.

• Turn on your TV
• Simultaneously press and hold down the TV and SELECT buttons until the HOME button blinks twice
• Press the TV button and point the remote to your TV

Find out the 4-digit code for your TV brand, then follow the instructions

Turn on your TV, point the remote to the TV, and press and hold down the TV and SELECT button until the HOME button on the remote blinks twice.

Then enter the first 4-digit code on the list (Hope You found it on the list above)

Press the TV button, if it has turned OFF, the pairing is completed successfully, otherwise, try re-programming with another code from the list.

Programming Optimum remote to Cable box

If you want to control the volume on the cable box, press and hold the TV and the SELECT button at the same time till the HOME button blinks twice.

Point the remote to the cable box, press the VOLUME DOWN (Vol-) button

What does mean Optimum remote HOMU button blinking 5 times?

It’s not a fault, but an indication that the batteries are about to change. It happens when the charge on the inserted batteries is very low. You should replace them as soon as possible.

For each and every TV or cable box at your home, you should pair them separately with them in order to work properly. If your device doesn’t get paired because you have previously programmed with other multiple devices, you can then unpair the remote and re-program.

Simply press and hold the keys 7 and 9, the remote will blinks for a few seconds and automatically turn off. Unpairing finished.
