Frozen Mudslide Recipe (1)

Mudslides are one of my favorite drinks ever. They are full of delicious whipped cream, ice cream and 3 different liquors. Making them tasty, sweet and all around delicious.

This is a great dessert co*cktail to sip on after dinner, at least that is when we enjoy these. This Frozen Mudslide Recipe is easy to blend together in just minutes.

The flavor combination is seriously off the wall, everything combined together really works perfectly together. We love this co*cktail all year long, but when the warmer weather hits it a nice drink to cool down with.

You really can’t beat the refreshing and cooling flavors of the chocolate, coffee and cream that packs a punch in each and every sip. Don’t forget about the ice cream and whipped topping either.

The best part of this recipe is that it only takes 5 minutes to make. Who doesn’t love quick and easy recipes, especially when they are drinks – I know I do!

WHAT LIQUORS ARE USED IN A MUDSLIDE?

  1. Baileys Irish Cream – This liquor is a whiskey that combines the flavors of chocolate and vanilla and is on the creamier sweeter side, great for dessert drinks.
  2. Kahlua – Kahlua is a darker more caramel colored liquor that has a tasty coffee flavor which is used in many different drinks that you want flavored with coffee, it is great paired with chocolate as the coffee flavor enhances the chocolate flavor.
  3. Vodka – This is just your traditional liquor that is used in a variety of different drinks and comes in many many different flavors. It is used in this recipe to break up the flavors and balance out the other two liquors.

CAN I MAKE OTHER FLAVORS?

Absolutely you can easily change the flavor of this co*cktail. Add some chocolate ice cream for a more chocolate version. You can switch out your vodkas as well.

Sometimes we like to use a salted caramel/caramel vodka or a peppermint vodka too. Both are amazing, with the caramel you can drizzle your glass with caramel syrup.

HOW DO I MAKE A CLASSIC MUDSLIDE RECIPE?

If you are not a fan of the Frozen Mudslide Recipe you can also make this a Classic Mudslide. It is super easy and you are just omitting an ingredient or two.

To make this a classic take a co*cktail shaker and add the liquors and ice and shake well until blended. Strain into a glass with ice and serve.

DO I NEED TO USE THE WHIPPED CREAM IN THE MUDSLIDE?

No, this is completely optional. This is something that we like to do to add a little more creaminess to the drink, but it can be omitted and used just as a garnish if you’d like.
